Legal & Compliance Manager (m/f/d) at Solvd GmbH

We pride ourselves on delivering excellence through innovation, collaboration, and expertise. We are looking for a dedicated Legal & Compliance Manager to join our Legal & Compliance (L&C) team at our holding company Solvd GmbH and contribute to our continued success.
The Legal & Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the L&C function at Solvd GmbH, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Legal. The role aims to process and execute the requirements that arise from legal, governance, and compliance standards as well as in projects ensuring effectiveness and coherence in the approach to legal and compliance matters across the Solvd Group of Companies.
Key responsibilities
* Establish, develop, and maintain an adequate and effective Compliance Management System
* Coordinate activities and implementation requirements regarding the System of Governance at Solvd Group (Governance Caretaker)
* Promote a culture of compliance and integrity consistent with the principles of the Solvd Code of Conduct and support senior management in communicating an appropriate tone-from-the-top
* Provide adequate training and communication on legal and compliance topics within Solvd Group
* Implement and oversee the compliance framework for the following assigned Compliance Risk Areas, to the extent it is relevant for the Solvd business: Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Customer Protection, Economic Sanctions Compliance, and Anti-Fraud (internal)
* Identify and assess compliance risks arising from non-compliance with both external requirements and internal corporate rules
* Assist in executing “Horizontal Oversight” and “Vertical Oversight” to monitor whether adequate and effective internal procedures are in place to ensure adherence to external requirements and internal corporate rules that pose a material compliance risk
* Support in M&A activities and other legal topics (e.g. antitrust coordination)
Experience & Qualification
* Minimum 3 years of experience in managing compliance risks/programs
* Good knowledge of the relevant legal regulations and associated compliance risks
* Knowledge of the system of governance
* Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English
* Legal background in corporate law and/or contract management would be a plus
* Basic understanding of the insurance and financial markets would be a plus
