The Robert Bosch GmbH is looking forward to your application Job Description During your internship you will collaborate with the team to optimize processes and implement data-driven solutions in the eBike NVH team. You will design, build, and maintain robust real-time data pipelines to process sensor data from various sources. Furthermore, you will ensure the integrity and performance of the data pipeline, handling ingestion, validation, transformation, and storage of data efficiently. Develop and optimize relational database schemas (MySQL preferred) for raw and aggregated data storage also falls within your area of responsibility. You will monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring fault tolerance and automation for high availability. Finally, you will provide documentation and best practices for scaling and enhancing the pipeline for production-level workloads. Qualifications Education: studies in the field of Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable Experience and Knowledge: proficiency in Python and SQL (MySQL preferred); strong experience with ETL processes, real-time data ingestion and processing frameworks; knowledge of distributed systems or cloud-based data services (e.g. Apache Kafka, AWS Lambda); familiarity with sensor data processing, including validation, transformation, and aggregation techniques; experience with database optimization, schema design, and handling large-scale data Personality and Working Practice: you have excellent problem-solving skills (with a focus on scalable and maintainable solutions) and a structured, autonomous working style, paired with initiative and adaptability Enthusiasm for IT, data-driven problem-solving and implementing innovative solutions in real-time data engineering Languages: fluent in German and/or English Additional Information Start: according to prior agreement Duration: 6 months Requirement for this internship is the enrollment at university.
