As a PR and Communications Manager within our Marketing Department you will be working closely with the Communications Lead and the Marketing Lead, you will play an integral role in protecting and enhancing the reputation of the business, partnering with leaders from across the business and the broader firm. You will be responsible for owning, developing and executing our external and internal communications strategies, pitching stories to press, handling reactive queries, and writing for both internal and external audiences. Job responsibilities Develop and execute our consumer, personal finance, and corporate PR strategies, driving key business outcomes Handle and respond to media queries as part of a small but busy communications team as well as lead and manage the business’ PR agency ensuring they meet their targets Lead robust media relations programmes and build and maintain strong relationships with key national, trade and local media, securing strategic storytelling opportunities for spokespeople Develop communications assets including press releases and media facing statements, talking points, thought leadership articles, messaging documents Write, edit, and deploy internal communications content, including articles, talking points, and memos Manage, maintain, and organise key internal communications channels such as the intranet, organizational announcements and town halls Track and measure results to showcase business impact while developing strong relationships with key business partners including Marketing, Content, Product, Data, and Controls, collaborating effectively across the broader organization on executive communications, employee engagement, social media, content development, events, etc. Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: Relevant professional communications / PR experience Fluent in German and English with a strong writing ability; strong editing skills; web knowledge/digital savvy Has the ability to effectively partner with direct management, team members and other stakeholders and a high level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility Be used to working in an agile environment Close attention to detail on events, written work and strategic advice Commitment to maintaining the firm’s high standards related to risk, compliance and the Code of Conduct Strong project manager and multi-tasker, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills: BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism preferred Solid understanding of the financial services industry Interest in both external and internal comms strategies, implementation, and execution Ideally a mixture of agency and in-house experience for a consumer business ICBCAREER
