As we expand our footprint across Germany, we are seeking an ambitious and strategic People Director to lead our people agenda at Flatpay Germany.
About The Role
As People Director at Flatpay, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our HR agenda and processes throughout Germany. Welcoming over 60 new colleagues each month, you’ll be responsible for driving process excellence, ensuring compliance with German labor laws and aligning on strategic goals, solidifying Flatpay as the premier workplace for our talented team. You will lead a dynamic people team, overseeing the entire employee life cycle while striving to meet our ambitious recruitment targets.
This is a unique opportunity to design and implement HR initiatives that align with our business objectives while cultivating a culture of excellence and growth.
What You'll Do
1. Lead HR operations within Germany, ensuring a cohesive approach to policies, practices, and processes.
2. Provide strategic directions to enhance operational excellence, focusing on the design and execution of HR policies that support business growth.
3. Lead a dedicated team of four Talent Acquisition Specialists and an HR Operations Manager, fostering effective leadership and operational excellence in the entire employee life cycle.
4. Ensure compliance with German labor laws, mitigating risks and driving best practices.
5. Drive HR process improvements, implement systems, and manage key projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Partner with the leadership team to advance our people and culture agenda in Germany, focusing on continuous improvement.
Who You Are
1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in an HR leadership role with a focus on operations within fast-paced organizations.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of process optimization and enhancing team performance.
4. In-depth knowledge of German labor laws, payroll, and benefits administration.
5. Experience driving HR process improvements with solid understanding of HR systems.
6. Commercial mindset, i.e. the ability to comprehend and analyze financial data and people-related business metrics.
7. Language requirements: fluent in English & German (written and spoken).
