As the senior procurement Community Impact lead for Donations Management, for the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) you will be responsible for developing and implementing the products and services donations strategy globally to drive Amazon’s Global Procurement Community Impact strategic goals. The leader will need to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders within and outside GPO to drive the community impact donations strategy and projects. The role will need to partner with Amazon in the Community (AITC), GPO Program Management Organization, GPO Site Procurement Organization, GPO Category Team, the Project Niffler Team, Public Relations, Public Policy, Legal, Finance, Taxes and WW Sustainability to define a procurement 3 year-strategy, to optimize procurement donations programs, process, policy and tools for the procurement organization worldwide including collaboration with 500 non-profit organizations and partnering with 2K local and global suppliers in initiatives to give donations back to 30 local community and protect the planet. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success in procurement, community impact as a plus, program management, communication skills, strong attention to detail, process improvement and operational excellence skills, a collaborative work style, and an unparalleled work ethic. The right candidate is data-driven and comfortable with writing and executing on various types of communications and programs; has demonstrated experience working effectively in a fast-paced, ideally with experience in procurement purposed-led initiatives and under high-pressure entrepreneurial environment with a strong desire to roll up your sleeves; and proven experience managing high impact programs and working effectively across a number of internal stakeholders. Key job responsibilities - Create, own and implement the procurement community impact donations strategy, programs and deliverables/ KPIs, for the local communities Amazon is present - Development a governance structure for donations management, enable and track procurement community impact, cost savings and Co2 reduction - Drive the gathering of requirements to develop/ purchase a digital solution to consolidate all procurement donations from GPO and suppliers into one place that integrate into GPO systems - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement community impact donations are integrated into procurement practices, process, policies and Source to Pay decision making as well as supplier relationship management and risk management - Be the owner of the control and compliance of donations to comply with Amazon policies i.e. taxes, legal and external regulations - Be the point of contact to manage the products & services donations from Amazon and suppliers for the 500 NGOs we partner with at Amazon - Create a procurement culture of donations for GPO organization and GPO suppliers, including reward/ award mechanism - Track, report and communicate on donations of products and services from GPO and suppliers at global level - Own the content of communication on GPO CI donations A day in the life Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and oversee the procurement community impact donations strategy, including key performance indicators (KPIs). Governance and Compliance for donations: Establish a governance structure for donations, ensuring compliance with Amazon's internal policies, and external regulations. Digital Solution Scouting and Roll Out: Lead the requirements, scouting and roll out of a digital platform to consolidate all procurement donations into one system. Donations in Decision Making: Integrate donations into procurement decision making and supplier management. Communication and Reporting: Manage communication content and report on global donations from Amazon and its suppliers. Basic Qualifications - Master’s degree in procurement, community impact, sustainability or similar - Experience in procurement, non-profit organizations, foundation, purpose-led procurement function or similar - Experience and proficiency in project management - Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods Preferred Qualifications - Communications skills – written and verbal - Strong team player and leader with the ability to influence, work cross functionally, build relationships with key stakeholders and thrive in highly collaborative, fast-paced, environments - Ability to work independently and autonomously - Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff internally and externally Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
