Germany, Austria & CH Sales Director | Consumer Goods | Interesting Package
We are looking for an experienced Sales Director, used to manage a turnover in the region of €100M+ for a leading international group operating in the food industry.
Reporting to the local GM, you are an innovative Sales Director with a primary role responsible for the sales leadership, management, and growth of Germany's sales team, with a responsibility over the DACH area.
Key Activities:
1. Development of strategy for the product category in line with the corporate business plan and growth objectives.
2. Full awareness of the market needs of the categories served, predicting trend changes that will impact sales and capturing competitor activity.
3. Provide timely and accurate forecast data, deliver budgeted volume, and maintain a strong New Business Pipeline across the team.
4. Work closely with the Company's HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set the sales strategy according to Corporate goals.
2. Retain and grow existing customers within your team’s customer base through identification of volume and margin growth opportunities.
3. Evaluate new business opportunities and agree prospective targets with your team to deliver profitable new business within your product categories.
4. Maintain a regularly updated and dynamic pipeline detailing all growth activity.
5. Work with the Innovation Team to review and update product requirements.
6. Provide monthly sales reports, forecasts, and periodic status reports as required.
7. Provide market intelligence including information on market dynamics and competitor activity.
8. Motivate and drive the sales team and assist them in achieving/exceeding targets.
9. Provide coaching and performance management for team members and develop talent for future roles.
