If this sounds like the perfect role for you, we encourage you to apply today Tasks & responsibilities - As a Senior Legal Counsel M&A, you will provide strategic legal advice to senior management and project leadership throughout the entire M&A process. - You will structure, draft, and negotiate M&A transaction documentation across all our global businesses in close collaboration with the M&A function. - As a member of CLSG, you will guide the project team with regard of corporate governance, including corporate approval processes. - As transaction lead for the Legal function, you will coordinate and collaborate closely with business- and group lawyer colleagues as well as with the Boehringer Ingelheim lawyers in the relevant jurisdictions, starting with due diligence and including post-merger integration. - Your role will have a global reach, involving cross-border collaborations and the selection and management of outside counsel with a focus on quality, speed, and efficiency. - Your high level of M&A expertise as well as your ability to adequately address the business essentials in the transaction documentation will not only be crucial during the transaction phase but also for the integration of the target into the Boehringer Ingelehim group of companies. - You will further represent Boehringer Ingelheim in selected M&A industry or attorney associations. Requirements - Fully qualified lawyer with bar admission, additional qualifications like LL.M/MBA or equivalent are welcome - Several years of relevant working experience in an international law firm and/ or as inhouse lawyer with international exposure - Strong expertise in M&A as well as in corporate law and governance - High strategic and business acumen, preferably in the pharma, biotech, or life sciences industry, with the ability to provide strategic legal advice in the dynamic M&A area - Project leadership competencies to lead cross-functional initiatives - Entrepreneurial and business mindset, strategic thinking, and solution-oriented approach - Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to steer legal matters in cross-functional and international settings Ready to contact us?
