Head of Technical Operations with Telecoms network experience
My client a leading global telecoms operator is looking to recruit a Head of Technical Ops for a permanent position located in Dusseldorf.
* Suitable candidates would have worked as ops lead within an MNO or MVNO in Germany (Telefonica or Vodafone most likely with offices in Dusseldorf), quite possibly someone who has lead ops in Huawei, Ericsson or Nokia would also be relevant.
* You will has worked as a senior tech lead who will understand mobile network ops with particular knowledge of core networks and can steer central operations teams like a partner.
* You will understand how call flows work, be able to evaluate and optimise operational processes with ITIL and change management background.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities
* End-to-end accountability of the operations of mobile network and IT services, capabilities and infrastructure deployed centrally and locally to provide MVNO services
* Perform operations of local service & infrastructure capabilities (incl. local Lawful Interception) and manage internal & external partner that operate centrally deployed or outsourced capabilities.
* Manage end-to-end mobile service quality (e.g. for voice, data and messaging), incl. the definition of quality targets, the regular tracking and reporting of service quality KPIs; lead improvement initiatives.
* Introduce and run MVNO partner management; incl. the tracking and reporting of partner performance, arrange regular partner governance and stakeholder management. Drive operational excellence and efficiencies
* Engineering and lifecycle management of network and IT infrastructure (e.g. release and capacity management), either through partner management for outsourced or central capabilities or internally
* Line Management of the Operations team, incl. people management, people development, definition of objectives and their fulfilment, etc.

* Deep technical understanding of mobile network and MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) operations
* Background of telecommunications with a solid grasp of business environment
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and implement improvement measures

Your Professional & Industry Background
* 8+ years of professional operational and engineering experience within the mobile telecommunications sector.

Required Education
* University degree in technology or similar area (telecommunication degree preferred)
