You'll work closely with Guillaume, our Senior Lead Internal Control, to develop and implement sophisticated control mechanisms that support our expansion while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance. As an Internal Controller, you will • Lead comprehensive internal controls for the German market, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements • Develop and implement independent control frameworks, including risk mapping and process documentation • Deliver high-quality control activities with strict monthly deadlines • Drive cross-functional projects, working closely with Operations heads, engineers, and senior management • Support Risk & Compliance stakeholders in the completion of reporting and information requests from local authorities. About your future Manager Your manager will be Guillaume, our Lead Internal Control: • Their background? Guillaume joined Qonto in March 2023 after close to 8 years in Internal Audit and Front Line positions within the Banking Sector. He is now leading the Operations section of a growing team of 10 talented people who provide an insightful & positive approach to foster risk awareness and continuous improvement at Qonto. • What they can bring to the team: Upon joining Qonto, Guillaume contributed to build up a positive perspective on Internal Control, combining continuous improvement with pragmatic management of Qonto’s risks. With his strong operational oriented mindset and methodological background, he will be the perfect manager to help you ramp-up on your problem-solving skills and help you grow into an acknowledged expert that brings valuable inputs into a fast-paced environment. About You • German Market Expertise: You have deep understanding of German banking regulations and compliance requirements, with experience in implementing control frameworks in the German market; • Internal Control Experience: You bring 5 years of experience in internal control or audit, with a track record of developing and implementing control methodologies; • Project Management: You have demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects independently; • Analytical Skills: You're proficient with data analysis tools and can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical control frameworks; • Communication: You can confidently present to senior stakeholders and explain complex control processes clearly in both German and English • Languages : You're bilingual in German and English.
