Reporting to the Global Commissioning Director, the Commissioning Technical Lead Engineer is responsible for providing highly technical support to a global client base. The Commissioning Technical Lead Engineer primarily supports Commissioning Engineers and Customers for installation, commissioning, repair and troubleshooting of rotating equipment. Location: Neuenburg am Rhein Develop standard tools and procedures on his expertise field. Prepare / Optimize standard forms and templates. Support Commissioning Engineers while on-site. Perform repairs, Troubleshooting and RCA’s. Report issues to the Engineering dpt and make recommendations to deliver solutions and continuous improvement on products. Support technically the Customers during the warranty phase. Provide on-site training to customers (internally and externally) to improve the customer’s ability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment. Review Commissioning reports and consolidate them (spares lists, proposals…). Organize the punch list solving and Troubleshoot malfunctions as needed. Travel to sites to help install, commission, test, or troubleshoot equipment. Verify that the specifications of the equipment built are correct. Work with the shop and sometimes assist with components' assembly or wiring as needed. Work with customers to decide work scope, provide quotations, necessary parts and tool lists and other logistic considerations necessary to prepare for field service personnel’s work. Provide technical support to various internal teams. Complete Field Service/Field Trouble reports after providing site services. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering Previous experience in a high-travel role servicing rotating equipment internationally is preferred. 10 years minimum of related experience in Cryogenic rotating equipment. Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise Above average technical communication skills. Expert in Cryogenics rotating equipment operation. High Experience reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical and process prints and related technical documentation. Experience in mechanical and hydraulic calculations and data reductions. Ability to discuss, diagnose and repair products. Ability to work at customer sites with little direct supervision. Ability to work safely and effectively within OSHA, and job local laws. Knowledge and experience with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Knowledge and experience with system integration & industrial controls. Knowledge and experience with electrical systems and components (instrumentation, VFDs, etc.)
