Senior Operations Manager
Job location: Berlin or London
We are seeking an Operations Specialist to manage office functionality, vendor relationships, financial reporting, and HR operations. This role requires strong financial management, operational, and interpersonal skills to drive efficiency and support our team.
Your responsibilities:
General Operations:
* Oversee the maintenance and functionality of office spaces across all locations.
* Contribute to shaping the company culture by planning team events.
* Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and vendors.
* Compile and deliver datasets to the Leadership team to enhance reporting capabilities.
People & Culture:
* Act as a go-to person for our employees.
* Coordinate and execute the on- or offboarding process and employee development changes.
* Oversee payroll processing with our Chief Financial Officer, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries.
* Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and communication.
Finance Operations:
* Assist with month-end financial closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
* Generate and review financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
* Oversee the tracking and reporting of expenses to maintain financial integrity.
Your profile:
* Experience in operations, HR, or finance.
* Certification in HR or Finance is a plus.
* Proficiency in project management and financial analysis.
* Commercial acumen and an understanding of business operations.
* Credibility and strong influencing skills, with the ability to network effectively with finance and operational management across diverse cultures.
* High initiative and self-motivation, coupled with collaborative teamwork abilities.
* Experience within a startup or fast-paced scale-up environment is highly beneficial.
* Strong problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills in English and German.
