They are seeking a highly motivated Configuration Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and enforcing configuration management (CM) policies, processes, and tools to ensure the integrity and traceability of product development across its lifecycle.
You will play a pivotal role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage product configurations, enforce compliance, and support audits.
Your tasks
* Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management Plans in alignment with contract and process requirements.
* Ensure traceability, integrity, and consistency of configuration data throughout the product lifecycle.
* Oversee and coordinate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) to review and approve changes to product configurations.
* Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, production, quality, and supply chain) and external partners to ensure proper configuration control and compliance.
* Manage the creation, storage, and distribution of configuration documentation and ensure its proper integration into SAP and other relevant systems.
* Define and enforce CM processes, policies, and tools, driving continuous improvement in configuration management best practices.
* Support internal and external audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with configuration changes, ensuring minimal impact on project schedules and deliverables.
Your profile
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Defense Technology, or a related technical field.
* Several years of experience in configuration management, ideally within production and development environments.
* Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g., DIN ISO 10007, CMII, or equivalent).
* Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CM software solutions.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently while demonstrating collaboration and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
* Background allowing you to get military security clearance in Germany (German or EU citizenship strongly recommended).
