Our company is considering fantastic opportunities to grow both organically and through acquisitions. We are looking for an Operations Manager of our main factory in Warstein Belecke, Germany.
The position:
The Head of Operations Germany is responsible to lead the German production center (120 people, 60 mio T/O) and ensure business objectives are achieved in line with the annual growth- and profitability targets. You will plan, direct and coordinate all plant operations activities (manufacturing, supply chain, material management) and develop and execute improvement strategies to ensure that systems/products are manufactured and delivered efficiently and in line with commitments to customers.
This role reports directly to the Global VP Operations and will work in close collaboration with functional Vice Presidents. This role is located at the company’s premises in Warstein-Belecke, Germany and is an integral part of the management team.
This position requires a week days relocations to Belecke-Warstein at least.
Main Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the full P&L and monthly output of the German production center with a clear focus on Operations and Project Management.
* Set production planning, processes, resources, capabilities for operations to improve steadily on all KPI’s: productivity, on-time delivery, throughput, inventories.
* Implement production strategy (make or buy) in line with group overall strategy.
* Redesign core processes to reduce project lead time and drive inventories down per groupwide initiatives and plans; develop and implement cost effective alternatives and improvement to production processes.
* Coordinate with Project execution teams to optimize production planning considering customer requirements and operating efficiency.
* Establish standardization, best practises and consistency across all operations teams
* Ensure quality control in production processes and appropriate use fo methods and precautions to minimize health- and safety risks.
* Develop teams and optimize supporting functions/departments; attract and retain key operational personnel leaders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally complemented with an MBA.
* Expert knowledge of SAP.
* 5+ years progressive experience managing manufacturing/assembly function with a clear focus on engineering-to-order processes, ideally in international environment (<100m€).
* Background in Industrial Operations, Supply Chain Management and Project Management.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Decisive and results-driven personality.
* Strong leader; setting direction, formulating action plans and driving them consistently.
* Ability to drive and motivate others.
* Strong analytical skills.
