We are now looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager (all genders) to drive sales growth in our our pulp & paper segment in Germany North. The sales area extends north of Dortmund and Dresden. This role is ideal for experienced sales experts with a deep understanding of the pulp and paper industry in the region and leadership experience. In this position you will be based in (Northern) Germany and directly report to the Sr Sales Manager, Pulp & Paper, Germany and Switzerland.
In this role you will be responsible for:
1. Commercial sales of chemicals to selected pulp and paper mills in Germany with full responsibility for revenue and profitability for your sales area
2. Leading a group of sales staff, working directly with the customers in their respective area.
3. Assume responsibility for maintaining and developing existing customers and the acquisition of new applications
4. Evaluate sales potentials technically and commercially
5. Support an intensive market observation
6. Maintenance and administration of the CRM system
7. Project coordination within an international group of application experts
What you’ll bring to the team:
8. University degree or other relevant experience in business, sales & marketing, chemistry or related field
9. Minimum of 5 years successful track recording in proactive B2B selling of paper chemicals
10. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
11. Desire to lead a team in a direct line management relationship and succeeding together in an international and cross-functional group
12. Excellent communication skills in German and English
13. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
14. Strong collaboration, solution selling and relationship building capabilities
15. Willingness to travel (up to 60%)
