Your role as an Financial Accountant in our team: At Gravite, we are looking for an Financial Accountant (f/m/x) to join our team of mobile enthusiasts in the beautiful city of Hamburg. We are a leading provider of mobile programmatic advertising services for major app publishers, offering cutting-edge technology solutions to numerous global companies to optimize their revenue models. With billions of ad requests every month, our mission is to generate maximum advertising revenue for our clients. Our tightly-knit international team of 40 developers, key account managers, marketers, and business development managers share a common passion for delivering exceptional service to our clients. With your help, the processes in the Finance department will run smoothly and efficiently so that we can build lean and scalable financial processes ensuring Gravite's financial stability. In our team, you will be the one that helps our business to make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, preparing accounts, reporting, budgeting, and managing financial information. You will provide support and help to prepare and examine financial and accounting records, ensuring that the information is up to date and accurate. This means that your responsibilities will include advising and helping clients - externally or internally. We are open to receive candidates that are looking for either full-time or part-time roles. If this sounds like you, we look forward to talking to you You will be involved in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB). You will check and book current business transactions in the sub- and general ledger. You will help compile and present internal and external reports. You will clarify tax issues and be responsible for tax provisions and the submission of advance VAT returns. You will identify, drive, and implement improvements in accounting processes, digitalisation and automation. You will be the point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and internal departments. You will be responsible for preparing and sending the monthly reporting package to our Swedish parent company. What you bring: At least 3 years' professional experience as an accountant, financial accountant or similar role, ideally in an international group. Strong accounting skills with good knowledge of the Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB), ideally also IFRS. Confident use of common accounting and consolidation systems (e.g. Netsuite ERP). Confident use of MS Office (including MS Excel). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, in a structured manner and as part of a team. Good written and spoken German and English skills are essential.
