The Role
Will be part of the Animal Nutrition team in DACH and will be responsible for managing and developing our business relation to an already established customer portfolio in Animal Nutrition and Pet food. The position is in Germany, where primary customers for the role are located but after a successful upstart, customers in AT and CH could also seek your services.
The successful individual reports to the Business Manager Animal Nutrition. You will be working within a team of like-minded colleagues in DACH and EMEA, where your primary objectives will be to execute our strategies to achieve gross profit and volume growth, develop new business and optimise the performance and financial return of existing businesses.
This position is a 12 month fixed term contract and the successful candidate will need to be located in Germany.
Job description
Driving Business Results:
* Full accountability to deliver key business metrics following our strategy
* Manage key accounts to maximize revenue and profitability
* Take personal responsibility for successfully closing nominated customer projects
* Maintain and build industry knowledge: trends, regulations, unmet needs in the market
* Support the Business Manager Animal Nutrition in achieving the budget targets
Business Development:
* Identify a comprehensive understanding of customer potentials and convert them to Brenntag solutions for own and cross-selling customers
* Identify new product opportunities within the Animal Nutrition and Petfood segment
* Support sales growth and cross-selling in relevant industries
* Provide product/market information to internal stakeholders
* Provide input for supply chain improvements for our customers
* Comprehensive knowledge of the major Animal nutrition and Petfood players in the DACH region
Relationships:
* Develop strategic and operational relationships with key decision makers and influencers within customer and relevant supplier communities
* Develop strong relationships with Brenntag internal colleagues, both DACH and EMEA.
Qualifications
Education:
* Master degree (e.g. Animal Science, Veterinary Science) or similar level of education.
Work Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of work experience in sales to complex customers within relevant industry.
* Work experience from international settings.

* High level of self-motivation and the ability to create opportunities and generate business

* Proven teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively
* Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of SAP an advantage.
Language Skills:
* German language and the understanding of DACH dialects.
* Communication skills in English Language are essential (min. B2).
