Your role
As Procurement Buyer (m/f/d) you will be part of our Procurement EAME Department consisting of 45 colleagues all over the EAME Region. Our Team in Germany is located in our headquater in Holzminden. Procurement within Symrise is a critical function that is integral to the performance of the Symrise group – ensuring both stable financial performance and on-going supply continuity across its wide-ranging supply chains.
This position is a full-time role to be filled in our global headquater in Holzminden.
1. You're responsible for co-defining purchasing strategy for regional sub-categories in line with global strategy alongside your Procurement Team Lead.
2. You lead the regional sourcing strategy execution and supplier relationships.
3. You're accountable for the preparation of regional negotiations for Raw Material sub-set and vendor management and with this as a key influencer, contributing to the EAME CIP Target for 2025.
4. You will interact with nearly every part of our business such as Sales, Finance, R&D, Technical etc.
5. You will be responsible for approximately 12.500.000 € in spend.
6. You will be part of the Project Team "TWIN Team" to define new savings initiatives together with the Technial Team to contribute to our CIP Pipeline for the next years.
About you
7. You successfully completed your university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a similar field.
8. You have 5 years of experience in strategic raw material procurement.
9. You have a strong understanding of strategic procurement processes, methods, and tools.
10. You have an excellent technical understanding for ingredient manufacturing and applications.
11. You have a strong cost focus with experience in TCO and make or buy decisions.
12. You're experienced in project management with drive and the ability to deal with multi-faceted requirements and under time pressure.
13. You have the ability to interact and communicate in a manner appropriate to the target group and curious about intercultural contexts.
14. You're willing to travel within the EAME region to meet with suppliers and local Procurement Teams.
15. You're fluent in business english and ideally have a good command of another major language.
