Summary
For the “Ground & Naval Solutions” department, we are looking for a “Software Architect for Overall Systems (Solutions) (f/m/d)” at the Oberkochen site, Aalen division, at the earliest possible date. You will work in a dedicated team to design the technical solutions for all land- and sea-based products of HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH based on state-of-the-art technologies and to provide first-class products for our customers.
Your Tasks
* Technical responsibility for the architecture of overall systems with a focus on modern and innovative (embedded) software solutions.
* Strategic and technical design of (software) architectures at overall system level.
* Coordination of customer requirements and transfer into technical concepts and specifications of an overall system.
* Technical support with cost estimates for the preparation of offers in close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams.
* Creating presentations for customers and stakeholders and participating in customer meetings in order to present and represent complex interrelationships of the overall system in an understandable way.
* Proactively developing overall solutions together with the system engineers and SW architects in an interdisciplinary team, taking costs, quality and time into account.
* Coordination with the business units regarding future requirements for software, methodologies, norms, standards and laws such as SW security or data security.
* Harmonization of different product approaches to define a module-based software and system architecture in cooperation with the specialist departments, e.g. “Data Analysis & Fusion” and “Smart Sensors”, in order to seamlessly connect systems with each other.
Your Profile
* Completed studies in the field of systems engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or comparable training.
* Excellent communication and visualization skills.
* Several years of experience in systems engineering of technically complex systems with high software content.
* Sound experience in handling developments with and for external partners.
* Experience in technical customer coordination to find solutions, ideally also internationally.
* Very good knowledge of various software disciplines, standards and modeling.
* Knowledge of other technical disciplines such as mechanics, optics and electronics and their interaction in products.
* Strong methodological skills in finding solutions and making decisions.
* Very structured, self-organized and analytical way of working as well as a strong business-oriented way of thinking and working.
* Business fluent in German and English.
