Job Description
Our client is a world leading wastewater technology and treatment company recently awarded a project for the design, supply and installation of a new wastewater treatment plant in Germany.
They are looking for a project manager who will be coordinating engineering, logistics and installation activities, inspecting the works and managing the entire project activity based in Germany.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) engineering and design
Experience with wastewater treatment plant construction (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control)
Knowledge of WWTP technology and process
Commercial negotiation capabilities
Experience working with multinational companies
AutoCAD and office software knowledge
Fluent English (speaking and writing)
Schedule and scope:
A) Engineering and negotiation with potential subcontractors. Approximately 6 months.
B) Construction / installation. Approximately 10 months.
C) Post construction and commissioning phase, approximately 3 months.
Responsibilities of the LPM
Phase A:
Be in touch with the German parties involved in the project, take part in all the meetings and conference calls related to the project in Germany.
Engineering- Coordinate all engineering between the company to the local engineering company, client and its consultants
Looking for and allocating of local sub-contractors for the installation and local equipment suppliers
Phase B:
Attending the construction site on daily basis
Managing the ongoing relations with sub-contractors
Leading site team and supporting with all needed coordination for the site works
Generation and maintenance of site procedures
Direct inspection of the electromechanical works (supervising)
Indirect inspection of the HSE issues by assigning a site-supervisor
Review and monitor all bill from subcontractors
Responsibility over all site meeting with all parties
Construction reports issuing
Phase C:
Supervising the startup and commissioning in aspect of electromechanical and mechanical works
Supervising the finalization of all rejects
