Description As a member of the central Ship Green team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and commercialization of our green products at Hapag-Lloyd. You will play a critical role in integrating sustainability practices into our business model and significantly contribute to advancing our strategy for sustainable development. This position offers you the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to offer sustainable options to our customers while ensuring they align with our corporate strategy. The position of Manager (m/f/d) Green Products for the Global Commercial Development department is anchored in the Digital Business Growth division. Responsibilities Support development of green product initiatives, identifying key business opportunities Monitor product goals, roadmaps, and release plans Prioritize requirements to meet customer needs effectively Support the implementation of additional products in the short- and mid-term, such as biomethane or methanol Analyze customer feedback and market developments to derive product improvements Ensure product quality and functionality through close collaboration with the development team Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sustainability, Global Sales, Global Fuel Purchasing, Regions, Areas, and other stakeholders Cultivate and maintain relationships within the Ship Green community, serving as the primary point of contact for all Ship Green-related inquiries Conduct trainings across the organization, particularly for Sales and Customer Service colleagues, to deepen their understanding of our product offerings Prepare marketing materials for Ship Green and devise new marketing strategies Create quarterly declarations for both online and contract customers Monitor sales developments and generate various reports Oversee the control, central coordination, and monitoring of all Ship Green contracts Manage tariffs and support development of pricing strategies, including discount management for contract customers Prepare regular status updates for forums such as ExCom, Commercial Summit, QBR, and CEO Updates Qualifications Experience in shipping, with a master’s degree or equivalent qualification Demonstrated experience in product development or product management, preferably in sustainability or the environmental field Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and adeptness at solving complex problems Responsible, self-reliant, and dependable personality Collaborative team player with the ability to drive projects forward Experience in interacting with Top Management Business-level proficiency in English Understanding of operational processes in the transportation industry Commitment to sustainability and environmental protection
