Working Student - Audio & Video Distribution Part-time (20 hours) // Berlin Reports to: General Manager, EU We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Working Student, Audio & Video Distribution to support our releases and content operations. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll work closely with the Senior Distribution & Streaming Manager and the Artist Relations & Platform Management teams to ensure smooth delivery of digital assets to DSPs and other platforms. You’ll gain hands-on experience in catalog management, metadata administration, and digital distribution workflows, making this a great opportunity for someone eager to grow in the music industry. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Assist with the distribution of new audio and video releases to DSPs. Support catalog administration and help keep systems up to date. Prepare label copy and manage metadata. Maintain the release schedule and assist in preparing materials for outreach to partners. Contribute ideas to creative marketing strategies. Monitor release performance and listener behavior, compiling analytics reports for internal and external use. Manage content ingestion, ensuring accurate metadata tagging and proper format submission. Assist in troubleshooting delivery issues and resolving disputes with DSPs, including addressing takedowns, content mismatches, or technical issues affecting distribution. Work with tech teams to help resolve ingestion errors, metadata conflicts, or copyright disputes. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in music business or technology, media & communications or a related field A strong interest in digital music distribution and understanding of metadata requirements. Excellent organization and communication skills, with high attention to detail. Strong proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for managing large datasets. Fluent in English (written & spoken), any other languages being a huge plus. A proactive mindset, eager to learn and optimize workflows. Passion for independent music and appreciation for diverse cultures and sounds featured on COLORS.
