The overall purpose of the Network Equipment Group is to ensure the availability of the necessary Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Unit Load Devices (ULDs) and Aviation Network Supplies (Aviation ancillary equipment) to enable normal operations in the global DHL Express network. Supplying a fleet of serviceable Aircraft and Ground ULDs to the Global DHL Express network, which perfectly support DHL Operations with regard to dimensions and properties including protection of people, equipment and customer shipments against weather, fire and other threads. Managing a global ULD repair network and the respective ULD repair cost. Further, the jobholder supports the global DHL Express network in using a global Asset Management System. The third aspect is the responsibility to maintain a cost effective process for purchasing, storing and distributing Aviation Network Supplies globally for the DHL Express operation. This includes management of Network Supplies rotation and re-use. How will you contribute to the success of DHL? Support GNED with all aspects of regulatory questions relative to ULDs and aircraft ancillary equipment Carry out ULD audits Carry out ULD first article inspections Carry out ULD repair station audits Supervise global service levels of ULD repair and purchase data input in the ULD Management System in order to ensure that the data complies with set standards Monitor the performance of the ULD repair stations worldwide Provide a business perspective and structured analysis within RUM so that business needs are clearly understood, defined and incorporated into any proposed solution Maintain the global ULD repair- and ULD purchase- airworthiness certificates library Obtain relevant information that supports ULD repair- and modification related RUM data analysis through internal and external contacts Ensure supervision of the ULD movements to and from the ULD repair stations worldwide Approve/reject ULD over cost repair requests Be the first point-of-contact within DHL for ULD repair station staff on technical matters Manage the ULD repair invoice reconciliation Create and follow-up ULD Purchase Orders Preparation of ULD orders BCA where required Ensure purchase, stock keeping and distribution of ULD-ancillary equipment (nets, straps, spreaders, etc.) within the global network is in accordance with the requests Support the GNED in ULD related projects Provide RUM training to third party ULD repair station staff and DHL staff Cover for absent colleagues Do you have what it takes? 5 years job experience in an Aviation environment Methodical / Structural Demonstrates and practices cultural awareness Strong Personality Good analytical skills, good PC skills, good MS Office skills Good understanding of financial business principles and language Fluency in spoken and written English, 1 other additional language (DE, FR, ES, IT)
