What you'll do
* Supervise the design, implementation and maintenance of building envelope systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards for performance, durability and sustainability; also create detailed designs, specifications and drawings for architects, planners, and contractors
* Leverage extensive knowledge of gypsum and cement-based sheathing boards to improve system reliability and efficiency, while maintaining close communication with the marketing department
* Develop a competitive landscape for exteriour boards and identify exact methodologies for customer-specific and profit-margin-based product selection, offering regional design solutions
* Provide technical support and training to the sales team as needed, including internal training to adapt team structure, ensuring they effectively support customers and projects
* Identify and engage potential customers involved in specific construction projects to secure specifications and contracts, while leading projects to ensure timely completion within budget, collaborating with cross-functional teams
Who you are
* Successful degree in engineering with an affinity for business administration or a degree in business administration with technical understanding
* Several years of consulting experience in business unit strategy, growth strategy, and program management; experience in due diligence and the building materials/construction industry is an advantage but not mandatory
* Proven track record of working in specific projects, ideally with extensive experience in Gypsum Products & Systems; solid understanding of the construction industry
* Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic abilities, coupled with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and excellent communication skills in German and English, particularly at the executive level
* A candidate with a history of successfully completed projects, enjoys people-oriented roles, has excellent PC skills, and is willing to travel globaly (up to 30%)
