Unleash the potential of DNA nanotechnology in the fight against cancer
The idea of fighting cancer using the body's own defences may sound like a distant future, but at Plectonic this vision is becoming a reality (check out our DLD Talk or this article to learn more). Our groundbreaking LOGIBODY technology uses the precise power of DNA nanotechnology to enable the immune system to specifically recognize and fight cancer cells.
Plectonic is proudly funded and financed by SPRIN-D, the Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovations. SPRIN-D is dedicated to promoting groundbreaking technologies and innovative ideas that have the potential to revolutionize markets and improve lives by providing resources and funding for ambitious projects at the cutting edge of technological progress.
If you want to be part of a highly innovative team at the forefront of medical research, developing a completely new class of immunotherapies, we want to meet you!
Your mission: Defeating cancer with DNA nanotechnology
Plectonic, a spin-off of the Technical University of Munich, specializes in the development of LOGIBODY technology – a revolutionary approach that enables the immune system to identify and attack previously undetected cancer cells. Supported by substantial funding and in close collaboration with leading research institutions, we have laid the foundations for this groundbreaking technology. Now it is time to enter the next phase and bring our LOGIBODIES into clinical application.
We are looking for a motivated DNA origami specialist (m/f/d) to work with us and further explore and develop the LOGIBODY technology.
Your mission:
* Design and development of complex nanoscale structures using DNA origami techniques
* Optimization and execution of self-assembly processes for DNA-based nanostructures
* Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in the fields of biophysics, biochemistry and materials science to further develop the Logibody technology
* Characterization and analysis of DNA nanostructures using modern microscopy and analysis methods
* Stabilization and optimization of DNA origami structures
Requirements
o Degree in biochemistry, biophysics, nanotechnology, molecular biology or related fields, ideally with a doctorate
o Profound knowledge in the theory and practice of DNA origami
o Experience in molecular biology techniques, especially in combination with DNA origami
o Familiarity with modern nanotechnology methods and characterization techniques
o Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Good written and spoken English
o Motivation to develop innovative solutions and push the boundaries of DNA nanotechnology
