AND EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany. Hauptaufgaben Maintains adequate stock of perishable and non-perishable subsistence items. Replenishes depleted stock with incoming items or by obtaining stock from storage area(s) and transporting to shelving or display areas. Uses cart and manual or electric pallet jacks to move items. Places computer-generated selling price labels on shelves for the commissary patron to see and performs price verification. Scans product code and compares price with label price. Brings any discrepancies to the attention of management and, as instructed, makes any changes necessary to ensure accuracy of pricing. Arranges stock on shelves or in displays in a neat and orderly manner, rotating stock on the basis of age and freshness. Constantly checks for damaged, spoiled, or out-of-date merchandise and refers items to supervisor and/or food inspector. May assist in unloading incoming shipments and in checking stock. Uses hand held terminals to scan UPC codes verifying items are authorized and entering quantities received into the hand held terminal. Prints reports and verifies totals with delivery tickets informing management of discrepancies. Moves stock into the appropriate temporary or permanent storage locations. Using proper stock rotation, stacks containers in groups by commodity, brand, and size. Participates in inventories. Responds courteously and professionally to routine patron questions providing proper location and prices of specific items and determining availability of requested items. Consults supervisor or other management official when patron issues cannot be resolved. Performs other related duties as assigned.
