We are looking for: - A Composites EMEA Occupational Safety Leader who will be a member of the Composites HSE Leadership team within the GBU Industrial Function. - You will be responsible for supporting the definition and deployment of the Composites GBU Occupational Safety improvement plan. - You will bring a strategic focus, depth of knowledge, strong collaboration and leadership skills, and a data-driven decision-making mindset to the role. - Working in partnership with the North American Occupational Safety Leader they: - develop and deploy GBU Occupational Safety policies, programs, guidelines, and tools. - oversee the GBU risk analysis process for Occupational Safety risks. - share their expertise and identify best practices to be implemented at all sites within their perimeter. - provide input on trend analysis, and offer guidance to sites on implementation of Occupational safety improvements. We count on you for: - Extensive knowledge of managing safety in manufacturing processes, including handling hazardous materials and ensuring compliance with high-risk industry standards. - Collaborate with Process Safety teams to ensure occupational safety standards complement process safety management systems. - Mentor and coach GBU/site safety members to elevate safety expertise across the organization. - A strong shop floor presence and the ability to influence others. - Leverage advanced data analytics to identify leading indicators, predict risks, and drive proactive safety improvements. - Benchmark safety performance against industry leaders to identify best practices and ensure continuous improvement. - Utilize digital tools and platforms to streamline safety reporting, data collection, and incident management. - Review high severity and high potential investigations, challenging the outcomes where needed, and ensure cross GBU sustainable actions where appropriate. - Identify Occupational Safety risks and create harmonized procedures to address risk. - Harmonize safety policies and procedures across all regions, ensuring consistency and compliance with global standards. - Work with a collaborative mindset to ensure effective working relationships in the functions and business units You will bring: Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, etc), Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in occupational safety or a related role in the manufacturing sector. - Strong knowledge of local, national, and international safety regulations. - Proven ability to analyze safety performance data and identify trends. - Proven track record of the successful implementation of HSE improvement activities across different cultures globally. - Certification in Occupational Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) or country equivalent is preferred. Behavioral skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to develop clear and comprehensive safety documentation. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
