Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as a breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. As a principal consultant, you will coordinate all consultancy delivery activities within (1-2) clients and will manage transformation programs, operational excellence, and pathway optimization projects.
This role will cover the DACH (Deutschland (Germany), Austria, Confoederatio Helvetica (Swiss Confederation) region and is a remote role. This means your home location is the primary work location. However, you will be required to work onsite in our client partnerships across the DACH region regularly and attend a Medtronic location for meetings from time to time. As we work in a bigger EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) team, we can offer you to support other regional teams and work occasionally across regional boarders if you are interested.
A Day in the Life
As part of the EMEA Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions Consultancy Community, you will be responsible for:
1. Partnering with strategic Hospital accounts to drive complex transformational change, implementing innovative growth strategies, streamlining patient care pathways, and optimizing operations.
2. Influencing key stakeholders by developing well-articulated situation analyses, financial estimates, and business cases for change.
3. Identifying, framing, and prioritizing initiatives to capture value. Establishing a project roadmap and developing actionable plans to drive improvements and cost savings.
4. Managing full end-to-end projects and perform day to day coaching and mentoring activities for the service delivery team.
5. Periodically preparing portfolio reviews of the partnership program with the steering committee to track status, and progress and measure economic value and customer satisfaction.
6. Driving implementation, coaching, and developing local project or staff resources.
7. Capturing learning and best practices and continuously enriching Medtronic consulting toolbox.
Must Haves
8. Master’s degree in relevant functional area
9. 4-6 years of experience as a consultant from a top-tier consulting firm or high-end healthcare consulting firm
10. Extensive experience in the healthcare environment and in dealing with hospitals’ C-suite/Senior Management stakeholders.
11. Demonstrable program management skills: planning, coordinating, communicating, influencing, relationship building, achieving milestones, resolving issues, and managing risks.
12. Strong people management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
13. Native German, Excellent English (other language skills are a plus)
14. Willingness to travel within DACH (up to 70%)

15. Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation to strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery.
16. Experience in how to work and communicate in an international corporate environment.
17. Toolkit with generic consulting skills especially problem solving
18. Distinctive people management skills with a strong team development and coaching ethos
19. Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process within the healthcare system.
There is a Measles facility-based immunization requirement for this position. Therefore, full Measles immunization is a requirement to fill the open position.
