Manager Customs Master Data (all genders)
Become part of Bayer AG as Manager Customs Master Data (all genders) and take on a key role in optimizing customs master data management within our Crop Science Division. In this position, you will ensure regulatory compliance, improve processes, and work cross-functionally to support global supply chain operations. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* You analyze, research, and classify various goods in international trade in the customs tariff
* You resolve tariff classification questions with Bayer partners, suppliers, and customs authorities
* You are the Subject Matter Expert for questions about customs tariff classification in relationship to developments in the SAP S4/HANA project at Bayer
* You work on projects to automate tariff classification using AI-based tools
* You build and maintain a network of experts in R&D, Master Data, packaging technology, and purchasing to gather data for tariff classification
* You lead internal projects as the point of contact for our tariff classification team and serve as the interface to operational export control team
* You implement relevant internal control systems around customs tariff classification
* You conduct risk analyses in operational and customs tariff classification and develop standard processes

* You have a completed degree in business, business law, natural sciences (Bachelor/Master), or a comparable qualification (e.g., completed vocational training as a laboratory technician or technician in chemistry or biology, ideally with additional qualification in pharmacology)
* You have several years of professional experience in the industry
* You have exceptional knowledge in the fields of biology, microbiology, genetics, chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical development
* You have in-depth knowledge and experience in customs tariff classification of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, technical goods, plant protection products, and seeds
* You possess excellent technical knowledge of the SAP GTS module and related SAP modules
* You have a basic understanding of international trade, export control, customs law, and preferential law
* You are a team player with excellent communication skills
* Your excellent German and English language skills (both spoken and written) complete your profile
