Summary About the Position: This position is located in Dulmen, Germany. Dulmen is a medium sized town in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Duelmen has about 47,000 inhabitants. The city is located between the city of Muenster and the Ruhr area. As there is no Military Post near Duelmen there is no logistical support like Commissary, Military Housing, Military Hospital and no DoDEA schools but there is an International School in Duesseldorf which can be reached between one or two hours. Responsibilities Position serves as a Public Affairs Specialist at a medium military installation. Helps conduct the local community relations and, on occasion, governmental affairs related programs, in order to promote and maintain harmonious German-American relations. Assists the community relations lead in providing adequate plans in support of the Strategic Outreach Working Group led by the public affairs officer Creates high-quality information products to inform internal and external audiences in and around Tower Barracks in Dulmen, Germany. Helps determine which information outlets best serve the community. Helps manage change and introduce new media as required Contributes content for all information products offered by the USAG Benelux Public Affairs Office (PAO) in support of all tenant units and groups in the community, to include timely support of Department of the A, IMCOM-E and garrison command information (CI) themes and campaigns. OR Education: Graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
