Job Description
The Business Unit Solar & Batteries (BU SoBa) operates within Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind, which oversees Vattenfall’s renewable activities in Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Storage. BA Wind develops, constructs, and manages renewable generation across Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
BU SoBa is responsible for all large-scale solar and battery development and has its purpose to enable fossil freedom through profitable solar and battery assets. To achieve this, BU SoBa is active across the entire value chain, from early-stage development through to operations. Within BU SoBa, the Offtake Contract Manager plays a vital role in the Revenues Management team, executing Commercial & Trading contracts with our internal & external Trading parties or external PPA offtake customers. You are playing an important role in securing revenues for the huge Solar & Batteries pipeline.
Your tasks and responsibilities
* Plan and initiate Commercial & Trading contracts (e.g PPA, subsidy, market access, tolling agreement) in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders
* Interpret modelling results from our Analysis teams and negotiate final contract structure & details to maximize value and mitigate risks
* Gather and communicate Battery & Solar requirements for commercial & Trading contracts
* Align product development needs from offtakers or subsidy requirements towards our Revenues strategist and Analysis teams always ensuring all interests of stakeholders are properly reflected in our offtake contracts
* Prepare and present contract Terms & conditions to the Revenues steerco before taking final investment decision for our projects
Qualifications
Your Profile
* Experience: experience in energy trading, contract management, or renewable energy project development, ideally with a focus on German energy markets.
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Law, or a related discipline.
* Skills:
o Energy Markets & Trading: Experience in PPAs, tolling agreements, market access, and subsidies. Strong knowledge of electricity markets and revenue optimization.
o Contract Management & Negotiation: Proven ability to structure, negotiate, and execute complex commercial agreements.
o Financial & Risk Analysis: Skilled in interpreting financial models, market analysis, and risk mitigation in energy trading.
o Renewable Energy & Storage: Understanding of solar, battery storage, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
o Stakeholder Management: Strong collaboration with internal teams and external counterparties. Experienced in presenting contracts and investment decisions.
