Your mission In addition to the task of being an Instructor (Faculty) offering quality education, this position also entails being an Academic Program Lead and is expected to play an active role in improving students learning experience. Your profile The Faculty / Program Academic Lead directs strategic planning, program development and management assessment, and curriculum development of Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy and Masters of Art in International Relations and Diplomacy programs in coordination with the academic leadership and other Campus Program Leads. Furthermore, the Program Academic Leads directs faculty to meet and exceed expectations, resolve academic issues and build community among faculty and staff. Essential Tasks: • Provides direct supervision and evaluation of faculty and oversees supervision and evaluation of full- and part-time faculty members (annual performance evaluations in conjunction with the Dean and Provost). • Coordinates disciplinary actions, as necessary, with Campus and Academic Leadership • Coordinates all strategic planning activities in assigned areas • Leads the development, review and assessment of all Course Learning Outcomes and Program Learning outcomes in area (s) of responsibility • Conducts annual Academic Program Review (s) • Establishes and maintains membership of Advisory Board (s) and leads Board Review of all aspects of academic program (s). • Guides curriculum review and developments identifying courses in need of revision and working with Curriculum Development on selecting course writers, evaluating new and revised courses along with clock hour reviews. Aid in step one grade appeal process. • Support Academic Dean in specific follow up of the University of Roehampton Validation Agreement will be required in this position. • Regulatory compliance including faculty files, student academic advising requirements, grading audits, etc. • Delivers quality student services that promote academic success by planning and managing student orientations, overseeing academic advising, and managing academic support services such as tutoring and advising as well as remediation programs. • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty / Campus Director / /Provost. Position requirements Have an earned terminal degree with relevant administrative experience for academic management. Documented accomplishment in teaching, research and/or service. Excellent written and verbal skills in English and second language depending on Campus Location. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common academic journals, financial reports and accreditation standards. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, faculty, students, and others as needed. Ability to effectively present information to individuals at all levels, ranging from first term students to members of the board of directors and accrediting bodies.
