As the Head of Airport Solutions Engineering, you will define and develop the technical business strategy for our Global Airport Solutions Business. You will manage key accounts and partner accounts, serving as the primary technical interface for delivering comprehensive solution offerings, including equipment, software, and services. Your primary responsibility will be to build the Airport Solutions Portfolio according to market needs and motivate R&D members to exceed their goals. You will develop a robust technical strategy, execute it with the central team in Europe and regional teams, and coordinate major projects and product development activities to meet cross-division, business unit, and business area requirements.
Key responsibilities are:
* Primary Technical Interface: Be the main technical contact for the Central Airport Organization and stakeholders.
* Product Development: Collaborate with the Technical Product Owner for product and R&D developments.
* Global Strategy: Define and execute the global portfolio strategy for airport solutions.
* Trend Identification: Spot emerging trends and technologies in aviation.
* Partnership Building: Forge partnerships with airports, airlines, regulatory agencies, and tech providers.
* Stakeholder Relations: Act as the main technical contact for airports and airline partners.
* Presentations & Proposals: Deliver tailored presentations and proposals to stakeholders.
* Adopt Strategies: Develop strategies for seamless solution adoption and support.
* R&D Collaboration: Work with R&D teams to develop cutting-edge technologies.
* Voice Collection: Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
* Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events and forums.
* Global Engagement: Engage with global aviation bodies to influence standards and practices.
Experience and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
* Experience from the Airport industry with focus on identification and reader technologies/biometrics. Knowledge and experience from Physical Access Control is a plus.
* Experienced in driving RFI, RFQ and tendering processes.
* Able to navigate within a complex matrix organization.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Strong business orientation, drive, and results focus.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
