We are seeking a Scientist (m/f/d) for field trial evaluation and results management. You will be part of the Breeding Technology department for our cluster Maize and Oil Crops at KWS SAAT SE in Einbeck (Lower Saxony, Germany).
This position is to be filled, as soon as possible, in full-time and with a permanent contract.
Scientist (m/f/d) for Field Trial Evaluation and Results Management
Coordinate, administer, design, and develop a multi-crop breeding data evaluation platform.
Identify needs and support the development of new software modules and automation steps for trial evaluation.
Collecting requirements to work on a common tool concept in collaboration with the Plant Breeding, Breeding Technology and Research and Programming teams.
Travel to various KWS breeding stations domestically and internationally to support and train users.
PhD or M.Sc. in Plant or Animal Breeding, Information Technology or a related field
Good Knowledge of Plant Breeding is an advantage
Good Experience in data management and data evaluation
Proficiency in R or Python
Experience in Business intelligence software (e.g. PowerBI) is an advantage
Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle) and ideally APIs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to navigate close collaboration and interaction with different stakeholder groups.
Creativity and the ability to bring in new ideas
Fluent English language skills
Willing to travel to various KWS Breeding Stations are required
