My client requires a motivated and talented field application engineer with a focus on Embedded Linux. This position is a client-facing role so you will be required to have effective communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to have deep knowledge of our client’s products and services and be able to analyse customer technical requirements and be able to provide detailed solutions.
The position is mainly based in Darmstadt but there will be some requirements to travel to my client’s other site based in Frankfurt.
Responsibilities
* Be able to understand a customer’s needs and be able to provide accurate technical solutions
* Documentation to be completed to a high standard
* Programming with Embedded Linux when required
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customer accounts
* Provide lab demonstrations and technical presentations

Requirements
* A degree within a technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science or related topic of study (Bachelors/Masters and above)
* Deep knowledge and experience with Embedded Linux frameworks
* Experience working in a technical/engineering role
* Experience with Internet Protocols (i.e. TCP/IP etc)
* Knowledge in WLAN, IP, GSM etc preferred
* Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
* Fluent ability to speak English and German required, French is also a benefit but not required
