We are currently seeking a Bank Regulation Expert in our Financial Institutions Ratings Group.

We’ll Count on You To:
* (Core) Surveillance of global regulatory developments pertinent to banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions, and delivery of regular periodic publications, notably the quarterly flagship ‘Bank Regulation Monitor’.
* (Core/Expansion) Responsibility to plan and deliver a regular pipeline of opinionated and insightful research and commentary in collaboration with FI analysts, with a focus on cross-jurisdictional and cross-sector emergent themes and regulation.
* (Core) Support and training to the global FI analytical group on topics linked to risk management and regulatory development topics.
* (As required) Contribute towards industry outreach as a representative of Fitch Ratings, and as a speaker/presenter at industry events, including interactions with regulators / supervisors / supranational organisations.
* (As required) Coordinate FI responses to industry consultations
What You Need to Have:
* Ability to process and distill large volumes of information to express key take-aways/themes in lay-person terms or visually; ability to connect credit and regulation
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including clear communication, expectation management and influencing
* Attention to detail, without losing sight of the bigger picture
* Excellent writing and analytical skills
* Self-motivated, able to work to strict deadlines, with a passion to perform and innovate, including exploring the use of AI technologies
* Excellent communicator, confident and engaging presenter/speaker
* Experience analysing and interpreting regulatory policies preferred
* Willingness to undertake some travel
What Would Make You Stand Out:
* Recent experience at a bank, regulator or trade publication working directly on bank regulations
* Ability to connect regulatory developments with credit
