Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the go-to technical leader for system design, BESS integration, and grid/hybrid power plant integration (e.g., combining BESS with photovoltaic or wind projects).
* Lead the development and implementation of an overarching engineering framework, gradually adopting the INCOSE Systems Engineering V-model to improve requirements engineering and lifecycle processes.
* Act as a mentor and technical advisor, providing guidance and support to less-experienced engineers, helping them grow and thrive in their roles.
* Collaborate closely with the procurement team on supplier selection, ensuring technical requirements are met and maintaining strong industry ties with current and potential suppliers.
* Stay connected with R&D teams and external research institutions to remain at the forefront of technological innovation in the battery industry.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation while respecting the autonomy of sub-circles within our self-organized team structure.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Academic Background: A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is required, with a solid academic and scientific foundation.
* Expertise: Extensive experience in establishing engineering tools and processes required. Advanced knowledge in electrical and power grid engineering beneficial, ideally covering all life cycle phases of utility/asset focussed business. Background in stationary battery energy storage applications is preferred, but not mandatory.
* Leadership and Mentorship: A natural ability to lead through informal leadership and mentorship, with a focus on developing young talent. You must excel in communication, networking, and fostering collaborative, team-oriented environments.
* Innovation and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
