The RWE Offshore Wind is enlarging its Technical Contracting team and is searching for a Technical Contract Manager to support WTG Foundation contracts in our Wind Offshore Unit. The Role is responsible to prepare technical tender documentation, coordinate and lead negotiations for technical matters and clarifications with internal and external stakeholders. Further support will be needed to develop and maintain standard technical documentation for the main contracts e.g. turbine, foundation, substation etc., optimize and implement specific processes and work instructions.
Your future plans:
1. Prepare, evaluate and negotiate the technical part of WTG Foundation contracts including the annexes for wind offshore projects worldwide
2. Act as the technical lead during the negotiations for the technical-contractual terms of the agreements and as a link between different departments to ensure that their input is considered in the contracts
3. Gather and implement information from other departments in order to prepare the updated annexes for new projects and markets e.g. APAC, USA
4. Evaluate offers; identify and evaluate deviations and ensure that technical concessions made during negotiations are in line with company policies and standards
5. Manage, track and improve existing technical contracts and manage amendments/terminations as well as capturing lessons learned and implementation
6. Cooperate with other departments to ensure correct implementation and interpretation of existing contracts and provide support for all relevant departments/colleagues during due diligence phases in technical-contractual matters and claims processed
7. Inhouse counsel for all questions related to technical contracting along a project’s timeline and direct interface with the project teams during the preparation and execution phase
Your profile:
8. Degree in the field of civil engineering, industrial engineering, renewable energies or a related course of study in engineering
9. 5-7 years of work experience in relevant fields, possessing deep expertise in Project Management, as well as Contract and Requirements Management, complemented by a broad-ranging experience across the design, build, and operational phases of wind farm components
10. Experience in the drafting, managing and tracking of technical contracts und a general understanding of the mechanics of project management, asset financing and project development
11. Knowledge of how offshore wind works, on-site experience welcome
12. Proficient in both verbal and written English communication, with the ability to effectively negotiate and an openness to additional languages
13. A careful and precise approach to work, team orientated mindset and open to work in an international diverse environment
14. Proficient in utilizing MS Office software suite
