Your Responsibilities
1. You are responsible for the full E2E delivery cycle: from requirements analysis, and effort estimation, through design, implementation, QA, and delivery.
2. You nurture an inspiring environment with open communication and a culture of trust.
3. You proactively resolve impediments and mitigate risks for your team.
4. In case you need to escalate delivery and team risks, you do this in a timely fashion, with a well-articulated solution/mitigation plan.
5. You collaborate closely with your team’s Product Manager and Tech Lead.
6. You facilitate the team’s work on strategy and planning for the delivery.
7. With the Product Manager, you drive the OKR process for your team: communication of objectives, Key result definition, team commitment, and pairing OKRs with individual target agreements for your engineers.
8. You recruit, hire, and onboard engineers into the team.
9. You develop both your engineers’ soft- and technical skill sets according to the company’s goals and needs.
10. You craft agreements and individual development plans with every team member, aligned to the team's goals.
11. You uncover training opportunities as well as provide coaching for your team.
12. You recognize high performance and reward accomplishments; you act on low performance in a timely manner.
13. You establish and keep strong performance standards for your direct reports.
Your Profile
14. You have a university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
15. You bring at least 2 years of leadership/people management experience and have a strong focus on delivery.
16. You have strong hands-on experience (min. 8 years) as Software Engineer and want to stay one of the main contributors to your team. At Raisin, Engineering Leads stay technical and contribute to overall team output.
17. You have hands-on experience in technical platform transitions within a company.
18. You know how to manage software projects to a successful delivery in a collaborative fashion.
19. You have up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle in modern Backend (Java) technologies.
20. You are comfortable with open code and architecture discussions.
21. You bring experience with AWS Services, K8S, and Event-Driven architectures.
22. Very good communication skills; Fluency in English; German-language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
23. You have experience leading distributed/remote/hybrid teams and are willing to work partially onsite from our Berlin office.
