Job Advertisement: Senior Indirect Procurement Manager Location: Radolfzell or Villingen, Germany (with travel to additional sites in Baden-Württemberg) Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Indirect Procurement Manager to manage the complete purchasing operations for the Villingen site while overseeing indirect procurement for the Radolfzell site and one other location within a different business unit in the region. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to be based in either Radolfzell or Villingen, and presents a unique opportunity to significantly impact our procurement strategy across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all purchasing activities for the Villingen manufacturing site, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage indirect procurement processes for the Radolfzell site and one additional site in Baden-Württemberg, driving efficiency and effectiveness. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, focusing on quality enhancement and performance improvement. Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including Operations, Supply Chain, Administration, and Legal, to align purchasing strategies. Implement site-specific initiatives to enhance procurement performance. Identify and define relevant indirect procurement categories for all sites. Stay informed about market trends and analysis within the German procurement landscape. Utilize ARIBA and SAP systems for effective data analysis and reporting. Lead a diverse team, integrating expertise from purchasing, technical, and operational domains. Qualifications: Extensive experience in direct or indirect procurement (experience in both is a plus), with strong negotiation skills and knowledge of various categories. Proven leadership capabilities with a proactive, team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills. Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management and business operations. Proficient in SAP and ARIBA, with a solid foundation in business administration principles. Fluent in German and English, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Accountabilities: Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement guidelines and processes for all sites. Define and execute action plans to effectively achieve procurement objectives. Master the processes involved in indirect category management, establishing clear roles and responsibilities within the team. Engage with senior management teams at the Villingen site and across the regional business unit to ensure strategic alignment. Manage a procurement spend of approximately $50 million, focusing on local and regional suppliers. Work Schedule: This position offers a flexible work arrangement, with three days per week in either Radolfzell or Villingen, including travel to the other site as needed.
