Summer Semester 2025 - fixed-term for 3-6 months
A human-centered approach is essential when working with innovative digital technologies and in the development of products, interactive systems, or business processes. We focus on topics such as virtualization and simulation, linked data and knowledge graphs, gamification, the industrial metaverse, artificial intelligence, user experience (UX), and human-centered design for new user interfaces (e.g., dialogue systems, virtual/augmented/mixed reality, and voice interfaces). Our goal is to explore new approaches, assess their value for SICK, and develop a human-centered methodology that takes into account the role of humans in interaction with the system. This includes engaging with scientific research, developing and evaluating concepts, their implementation, and evaluation. The thesis can focus on one or more of these areas, and we welcome the inclusion of your own specific research questions in your application.
