As part of Advisory & Financing Solutions within Client Solutions, Leveraged Financing Solutions is embedded in Debt Markets and contributes to make UniCredit one of the leading European leveraged finance banks for private equity-driven leveraged buyouts (LBO) and non-investment grade (NIG) corporate transactions.
Leveraged Financing Solutions is responsible for all European financial sponsor driven LBO transactions as well as NIG financings for corporate loans and high yield bonds.
Leveraged Financing Solutions works with a wide range of clients ranging from top-tier large-cap private equity funds to leading mid-cap and smaller financial sponsors and companies, and conducts strategic dialogue with private equity professionals as well as management teams at C-level.
What you'll be doing
* Origination and execution of financial sponsor driven LBO financings (loan and HY bond) and structured / acquisition financings for NIG Corporates
* Origination of cross-sell activities, among others, advisory and ECM business through financing support
* Creating marketing and pitch presentations and identifying business opportunities
* Coverage of the capital market teams of financial sponsors
* Communication with private equity professionals and management teams at C-Level in the context of leveraged finance transactions
* Due diligence and company analysis as well as cashflow-based modelling
* Leading of credit approval processes including the preparation and presentation and defending of credit applications in respective internal credit committees
* Negotiation of financing documentation
* Supporting syndication processes incl. production of associated marketing materials
* Working in transaction-related deal teams
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree from a reputable university, preferably in Business Administration and, if possible, MBA or Master, CFA qualification or similar
* At least six years of experience in leveraged finance/ sponsor-driven LBO transactions at an investment bank, a leading LBO financing bank, private credit fund, debt advisory boutique or comparable firm
* Experience in originating and executing leveraged finance/ sponsor-driven LBO transactions including leading credit approval processes and experience negotiating loan documentation
* Experience in dealing with or covering financial sponsors and management teams at C-Levels
* Profound practical knowledge in due diligence analysis, preparation of credit applications and cashflow modelling / DCF analysis
* Production of pitch presentations based on company and market analysis
* Strong analytical skills and quick comprehension
* High willingness to work very diligently under time pressure, to take decisions and to provide customers with top-notch service
* Team player who is prepared to work independently in an international environment in different team compositions
* Experience in guiding, coordinating and developing junior team members
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and LBO-relevant databases
* Very good skills in oral and written expression in German and English
