The Medical Head of Pediatric Vaccines assures the delivery and execution of the medical strategy, stakeholder engagement plan, and scientific activities, sharing medical expertise with internal stakeholders such as marketing, EbM/HEOR, public affairs, communication, market access, clinical development, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory in compliance with law, ethical/scientific principles, and group products strategy. The Medical Head of Pediatric Vaccines promotes, develops, and maintains strong scientific and medical relationships with key experts. Their activity increases the scientific credibility and ethical image of the company to further support established products and future launches. Main Responsibilities: As a manager, you are responsible for ensuring that legal and internal occupational safety guidelines for the prevention of workplace accidents and diseases are implemented in your area of responsibility. This includes regularly communicating occupational safety topics and conducting safety training based on risk assessment. Leading and developing the Pediatric Medical Team (3 Medical Manager plus 1 Trainee) Provide strategic leadership and strategy to the clinical development, medical roadmap, stakeholder engagement plan and scientific activities Lead the Medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the German Pediatric Vaccines portfolio (RSV, Meningococcal Disease, PPH) in close partnership with the other functional franchise heads and in alignment with the overall franchise strategy Ensure high-quality delivery of scientific evidence to internal and external stakeholders Ensure subject safety by maintaining compliance with marketing authorization and promoting proper use of our products, particularly in communication and medical information activities. Implement corrective actions when necessary Review and/or approve promotional and non-promotional material in accordance with internal procedures; to ensure the respect of the ethics and the regulations in the delivered messages Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures in the context of interactions with health care professionals, societies and external providers. Openly exchange with external stakeholders to build on innovative concepts Establish and maintain relationships with partners, key opinion leaders, and institutions while integrating these stakeholders into medical projects according to the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP). Position Sanofi as a trusted partner for vaccinations and future vaccine innovations Provide necessary support to other functions, e.g. for Public Affairs, market access, communications Participate in co-creating the global medical evidence generation plan and ensure medical needs are properly addressed. Collaborate closely with evidence generation advisors and cross-functional partners to develop a comprehensive evidence portfolio supporting products in pre-launch and post-launch phases Foster growth and development through clear performance expectations and regular coaching/feedback. About you Qualifications: Doctorate level education: MD or equivalent Medical degree preferred, PhD or PharmD 5 years experience in Medical Affairs, ideally with relevant Vaccines experience 3 years' experience in managing teams Ability to travel up to 20-30% of the time Recognized by peers as an expert in Vaccines & Vaccination or a related discipline Vaccines experience from academia/research and/or preferably from the pharmaceutical industry with relevant customer knowledge Strong understanding of the German Healthcare system Skills: Strong business acumen to create compelling medical strategies benefiting patients, HCPs, and key external stakeholders Demonstrated team management capabilities Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and networking skills with ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; plan, prioritize and implement actions using a self-dependent and structured working style Skill in engaging key external stakeholders and building long-term partnerships with medical authorities, hospitals, physicians/specialists, opinion leaders and pharmacists Capacity to embrace innovation and analyze emerging trends, including social, policy and access-related information, incorporating them into MCO Medical Plans Languages: English and German both fluent Why choose us?
