Your mission
Our friendly and energetic Project Management team in Berlin / Munich is growing, and we are seeking a Project Manager Electrical Systems to complement the team and fulfil critical responsibilities, including overseeing the planning and execution of electrical systems in our innovative and global projects. As a Project Manager Electrical Systems, you will be responsible for:
Project Planning & Execution:
* Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for electrical systems projects.
* Comparing and clarifying the technical specifications of orders with the project team.
* Preparation of detailed project schedules and monitoring of project expenditure.
* Carry out site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimum system configurations.
* Liaising with the Technical Planning team to ensure projects meet client requirements.
* Coordinate with Design & Engineering, Procurement, and Crew teams to ensure project milestones are met.
* Lead the project kickoff meetings and establish clear roles and responsibilities for all team members.
* Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals.
Technical Oversight:
* Review and approve electrical system designs, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
* Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project status, changes, and issues.
* Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and address any concerns.
* Manage change requests and negotiate contract terms when necessary.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers and contractors to secure required resources and services.
* Preparing and presenting project reports, presentations and documentation to clients and management.
Budget & Cost Control:
* Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring costs are kept within approved limits.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project financial performance.
* Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management on project budget status.
Quality & Safety Assurance:
* Ensure that all electrical systems are installed and commissioned according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
* Implement quality control processes and conduct inspections to verify the integrity of electrical systems.
* Develop and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
* Ensure that all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including design plans, contracts, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
* Prepare and present project reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and areas for improvement.
* Ensure that all project documentation is properly archived for future reference.
Your profile
As a Project Manager Electrical Systems at BeWunder, you will oversee the planning and execution of electrical systems throughout our projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure that all project deliverables are met within scope, time, and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate between various stakeholders. As a Project Manager Electrical Systems, you will play a crucial role in bringing our projects to life, working with a dynamic team dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.
You will also:
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Several years of experience in technical and commercial project management, ideally in the field of electrical systems and power transformers
* Sound knowledge of project management and handling power transformers
* Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken, for clear and precise communication with clients, partners, and international teams.
* PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
* Additional certifications related to electrical systems (e.g., Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional) are a plus.
* Possess a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
* Hold experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
* Possess strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning.
* Be proficient in project management software (e.g., EasyJob, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar tools).
* Be familiar with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, VDE)
* Understand AVL systems integration.
* Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration.
* Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Be willing to travel to project sites as required.
* Be flexible to meet project requirements with a combination of office-based work and on-site project supervision.
