Job Description: Job description: Source and select reliable air freight carriers. Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with air freight carriers. Evaluate supplier performance based on service quality, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and implement procurement strategies for air freight capacity that align with business goals and corporate guidelines. Analyze and forecast freight volumes to ensure efficient capacity planning. Monitor market trends, freight rates, and carrier performance. Ensure competitive bidding and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. Analyze data to improve decision-making and optimize performances. Generate reports on key procurement metrics, such as cost improvements, service level, and vendor compliance. Use data to forecast trends and provide insights for strategic planning. Work closely with internal teams and operations to understand/support business needs. Liaise with international and domestic teams to streamline processes and create synergies across the network. Identify areas for improvement in the air freight procurement process and implement solutions. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in air freight and logistics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in air freight procurement or similar roles (i.e. Gateway/Operations Management). Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing freight procurement processes. Strong knowledge of air freight operations, regulations, and industry standards. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data. Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
