Are you an experienced mechanical engineer passionate about shaping the future of energy? Proxima Fusion seeks a leader to spearhead the mechanical design and manufacturing of components for stellarators. The ideal candidate will be a creative and highly analytical problem-solver with extensive experience in design for manufacturing and assembly. Experience with cryogenics/vacuum, high heat flux components or advanced structural design would be a strong bonus.
If you are:
* An experienced mechanical engineer with 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering complex mechanical systems;
* A proven leader who has grown teams and run major technical projects;
* An R&D specialist with a strong track record of development from concept through to production or across multiple product generations;
* Experienced in leveraging both analytical models and advanced simulation;
* A professional well-versed in industry standards and regulations;
You will help us by:
* Leading and coordinating the design, development, and implementation of complex systems for stellarators;
* Helping to define and coordinate engineering design processes optimized to balance speed, agility and rigor;
* Driving the selection and development of manufacturing processes and ensuring seamless transition from design to production;
* Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, taking a key role in minimizing overall system compromise;
* Contributing to the growth and development of mechanical engineering teams.
