The AWS Billing Catalog team, part of the AWS Commerce Platform, owns the front-end and platform services for capturing product and pricing information about AWS public and private offerings. It then distributes the data globally, making it available to systems that operate worldwide. These systems track usage, process invoices, and provide cost and impact analysis to AWS customers. About the team Utility Computing (UC) AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services. Basic Qualifications - Experience (non-internship) in professional software development - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems - Ability to work effectively on shared projects and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
