For our site in Ettlingen, we are searching for a Development Engineer / Component Manager (CM) for electrical and cooling infrastructure components in our Preclinical Imaging Instruments (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Molecular Imaging and Magnetic Particle Imaging). Typical examples for such components are power distribution cabinets, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), heat exchangers, chillers, etc.
You will hold the technical and regulatory responsibility for these components during their entire life cycle including development, transfer to production and sustaining engineering. Furthermore, the responsibilities include managing technical interfaces between the instruments and the installation sites regarding electrical installation, cooling and air conditioning/ventilation.

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten
13. Act as a lead engineer in the internal and external development of PCI infrastructure components
14. In case of external developments, act as technical and management interface between external partners and Bruker
15. Ensure regulatory compliance of the components (including certification activities), regulatory adaptions on existing components, recertifications and updates
16. Technology exploration & assessment
17. Ensure that potential synergies are exploited between different product lines
18. Creation and maintenance of technical data and documentation (for example technical specifications, service manuals, …)
19. Manage engineering changes
20. Sustaining engineering and management of end of life topics on all assigned components
21. Highlight life cycle risks and propose new development/re-engineering projects
22. Involvement in Quality Meetings and CAPA (corrective and preventive action) cases; manage and execute R&D action points
23. Technical consulting for PCI Site Planning
Qualifikationen
24. Master’s degree in electrical engineering, technical building services or similar engineering discipline
25. At least 5 years of technical and development experience regarding electrical installations, cooling / air conditioning installations
26. Practical experience in product safety and regulatory / certification aspects
27. Basic knowledge and professional experience on product life cycle management
28. Good knowledge in Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications, SAP knowledge is a plus
29. Fluent written and spoken technical English skills, willing to learn the local language (German)
