Data Engineer - Demand Data & Reporting Platform - Markets (All-Genders) THE ROLE & THE TEAM As a Data Engineer in the Demand Data & Reporting Platform, you will design, develop, and operate data pipelines that form the single source of truth for data regarding Zalando's business processes, including customer data products. Critical business decisions are taken based on the data provided by you and your team. WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING) Design, develop, and operate reliable data integration pipelines processing huge data volumes to provide high-quality curated data products. Leveraging and improving a cloud-based (AWS) tech stack that includes Databricks Spark, Airflow and Python. Analyse business unit requirements and translate them into reporting solutions using MicroStrategy or similar BI tools Making a positive impact on our engineering culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, and driving technical discussions and innovation in our engineering community. WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE Hands-on experience in implementing ETL pipelines based on the latest tech stack (Databricks Spark, Airflow, AWS) and distributed data platforms. An analytical mindset and solid coding skills in Python and SQL, with a focus on clean, readable, and maintainable code. Knowledge of data modeling techniques for Business Intelligence systems (e.g. Star Schema). Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, or the like.
