Aim of the position
*Must be willing to live abroad for 2-3 years initially for training. Once complete position will be located in our Fishers, Indiana office.
Thyssenkrupp is searching for highly motivated Engineer with interest in developing next generation steering actuators for autonomous vehicles. They will join a global R&D team in Budapest and Lichtenstein for 2-3 years as a Software Engineer / System Architect. The third year will join the advanced R&D project in one of the future actuators or vehicle motion control projects. They will then return to the US R&D team to continue to support these global projects
Year 1 SW Engineer (Budapest)
1. Specify, design, implement and test embedded software
2. Improvement of SW development
Year 2 System Architechture (Budapest)
3. Analyse and maintain SW requirements
4. Development of SW related parts of system architecture
5. Definition and support of SW safety and security concepts
6. Definition and application of design patterns
7. Creation of component requirements
8. Impact, safety and security analysis of SW
9. Knowledge about verification of SW: testing in all levels (unit-component SW-HIL-system) and their relation to safety and road release
10. Overview of development and verificaiton process in order to support public road releases
Year 3 Vehicle Integration / Systems Integrator (Lichtenstein)
11. Advanced steering actuator or VMC project

Professional requirements and competencies
13. Bsc or Msc. degree of electrical or software engineering (or equivalent knowledge)
14. Knowledge of a high-level programming language

15. C, special focus on embedded usage of the language. Knowledge and ability to follow the MISRA C:2012 coding rules.
