Your role
1. Establish and curate a FAIR data repository for primary and derived data from INTeRCePT collaborators, using EMBL’s world-class IT infrastructure.
2. Data import, initial QA/QC, consistency and completeness checks, documentation and metadata.
3. Create necessary conditions for dataset integration, such as identifier consistency.
4. Support researchers with finding, accessing and trouble-shooting data.
5. Perform data uploads to public repositories, in conjunction with scientific publications, under guidance by the researchers.
6. Generate interfaces for data visualization and browsing, and perform data transformations to make them suitable for machine learning / AI methods.
7. Adapt and further develop open source scientific software useful for the above tasks.
8. Engage with scientific data management and research software engineering in the broader scientific community internationally, e.g., by contributing open source tools and training material.

You have
15. A university degree in the natural or life sciences, and experience with biological data analysis. A PhD, and experience in scientific computing are an advantage.
16. A passion for detail, for keeping things well-organized, and for working with others.
17. Knowledge of R and Python: good in at least one, at least basic in the other.
18. You enjoy creating interactive websites using tools such as shiny and quarto.
